A fantastic new job opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer – C has just become available, to join a leading R&D company based in Nottingham. This new opportunity will be responsible for supporting new product development, in all areas of embedded software, throughout all stages of the product development life cycle. This will suit an ambitious and self-driven engineer, with a proactive approach to their work. Key skills/experience required of the Embedded Software Engineer – C, based in Nottingham include: BEng or BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field. Proven work experience as an Engineer (Firmware, Embedded Software or Electronics). Proficient in Embedded C/C++. Some experience in schematic design (Preferably Altium Designer). Experience with designing software and/or hardware to IEC61508 Functional Safety standards. (Preferable). Experience with the internet of things (IOT and/or Industrial IOT). Familiarity with serial protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Ethernet IP etc. Experience with hazardous area standards such as IECEx Intrinsic Safety (IEC 61508/26262) is desirable, not essential.
