Overview

In this role you support PCB testing, X-ray inspection and production equipment within an innovative engineering team in Linton. You will build technical expertise across test hardware, software and imaging systems while assisting customers, sales and the wider engineering group. You’ll run tests, deliver demonstrations and provide on-site training to customers. You join a culture focused on continuous improvement and close collaboration with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of PCB test and X-ray inspection equipment and their applications
  • Prepare test programmes and data, conduct customer product testing
  • Develop and deliver X-ray imaging services and customer demonstrations
  • Provide technical support to sales teams, customers and colleagues through demonstrations and presentations
  • Support equipment commissioning and customer training at customer sites
  • Maintain equipment, stock, schedules and technical records per company procedures
  • Build relationships with suppliers and contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement activities

Key requirements

  • Good understanding of electronics with a practical interest in technology
  • Ability to develop technical knowledge across software, test equipment, X-ray systems and production equipment
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in supporting customers, colleagues and suppliers
  • Organised and accurate with the ability to manage varied priorities and maintain records
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, including overnight stays and supplier training
