Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ready to take on a principal-level role within an electronics or electrical manufacturing environment? If so, our client has the role for you! Our Nottingham-based client is looking for a hands-on engineer to lead improvements in calibration, compliance, and manufacturing processes to internationally recognised quality and technical standards.

The Principal Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and improving all aspects of product calibration, including setting up a new lab and gaining ISO17025 accreditation.
  • Ensuring product compliance with international standards (e.g. Safety, EMC) and supporting approvals for new markets or applications.
  • Leading on NPI and acting as the interface between R&D and manufacturing.
  • Driving improvements in equipment, processes, instructions, and training.
  • Supporting sub-contracting and outsourcing initiatives where technical and commercial benefits exist.
  • Maintaining ISO9001:2015 UKAS accreditation and driving quality improvements through training, testing, and reporting.

The successful candidate for this Nottingham-based Principal Manufacturing Engineer job will have:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Experience working within an electronics manufacturing business.
  • Ideally experience in calibration, product compliance, and technical manufacturing processes.
  • You will be able to demonstrate that you have achieved continuous process improvement and compliance to international standards in the electronics industry, or a closely related industry.
