A Senior Hardware Design Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Essex, responsible for designing, developing, and testing high‑performance hardware solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with Product Management to define product and design specifications.
- Lead design and development of digital, analogue, and RF hardware products, supporting junior engineers.
- Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- Perform component selection, simulation, and analysis for optimal performance.
- Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and final products.
- Conduct debugging and validation with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, test, and manufacturing teams for efficient integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven hardware design experience with proficiency in Altium Designer.
- Expertise in high‑speed signal design, RF, power management, and EMI/EMC.
- Strong debugging skills using lab equipment.
- Knowledge of FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog) or microcontroller‑based systems, with embedded software development understanding.
