My client, based in Cambridgeshire, is a leading European designer and manufacturer of electronic test instruments and laboratory power supplies, supplying customers in over 50 countries worldwide. They are also one of the UK's largest distributors of test and measurement equipment, representing major American, European, and Japanese brands.

Skills and Experience required for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role based in Cambridgeshire:

  • Extensive experience in embedded firmware development and system architecture
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and low-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Solid understanding of microcontrollers, SoCs, and hardware/software co-design
  • Experience with system-level design, performance optimisation, and fault tolerance
