Redline is partnered with a long established engineering business in Surrey that designs and builds industrial instrumentation used in demanding, highly regulated environments. Due to business growth and brand-new projects, my Surrey based client are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team.
In this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will work on the mechanical design of new and existing products throughout the full product lifecycle, creating and updating 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings for production. You will design components for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA), working closely with machining, sheet‑metal, casting, rubber moulding, welding, and assembly operations.
Key skills and experience for Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Surrey:
- Degree or HND qualified in a related discipline
- Experience within a Mechanical Design role within a highly regulated or safety critical environment
- Strong understanding of materials selection, manufacturing processes and mechanical principles
- Experience in 3D CAD models and drawings
- Interest in instrumentation, automation or other engineered systems
Full time, on site 5x days per week. Due to the nature of work must hold British / Dual passport or citizenship as a minimum.
