Our client is a global specialist in high-reliability microelectronic components and services, supporting demanding sectors including aerospace, defence, space, medical, industrial and commercial markets. With over 40 years of industry heritage, they design and manufacture mission-critical electronic components and provide specialist packaging, testing and lifecycle support.

They are seeking a Production Planning Administrator to join their manufacturing team in Portsmouth. This role will support the planning, scheduling and administration of production activities, helping ensure customer demand is met, production priorities are communicated effectively, and materials and information are available to support efficient manufacturing operations.

What you will be doing as a Production Planning Administrator, in Portsmouth:

  • Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer requirements and production deadlines
  • Monitor production priorities and help resolve manufacturing conflicts
  • Liaise with production, planning, quality, engineering and supply chain teams
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available to support production
  • Maintain accurate production records, data and documentation
  • Support quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process
  • Coordinate information between departments to ensure smooth production flow
  • Assist with day-to-day production planning and administration activities
  • Identify and help resolve planning issues to maintain efficient manufacturing operations

The skills needed:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Good administrative, data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Confident communicating across production, planning, quality, engineering and supply chain functions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or technical production environment
  • Able to follow processes accurately while using initiative to resolve issues
  • Experience in production planning, manufacturing administration, materials coordination or a similar role would be advantageous
  • Experience within an electronics or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
