Contract Cable Assemblers/Production Operators in Norton

The Redline Group has an urgent requirement for two Contract Cable Assemblers/Production Operators to support a specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Hertfordshire. The company has secured a significant customer project and requires experienced contractors to help clear a backlog of complex cable assembly work whilst supporting ongoing production activities. The successful contractor will be working on complex cable assemblies involving precision wire cutting, measuring, crimping and soldering activities. The work requires individuals who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of quality throughout production. This role is expected to last 5-6 weeks initially with potential for extension and the successful contractor will be required on-site 5 days per week. Key Skills Required - Contract Cable Assembler/Production Operator, based in Hertfordshire Cable Assembly & Wiring Experience Reading and Interpreting Cable Drawings Crimping & Soldering Skills Cable Harness & Loom Assembly Experience with Amphenol Connectors Previous J-STD certification would be highly beneficial, although it does not need to be current. Experience within high-quality manufacturing environments such as Airbus, MBDA, Arqiva, Nemco or similar would also be advantageous. As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing IR35 status, should you wish to operate via your own PSC.
