Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for highly regulated industries including Marine, Medical, and more, are looking for an Electronic Engineer based in Newark to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an office-based role supporting the development of innovative control panel and interface technologies for blue-chip customers across a range of industries.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the design, development and testing of electronic hardware products.
- Manage and implement hardware design changes driven by cost, obsolescence, or performance improvements.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.
- Perform fault finding and debugging of electronic devices.
- Conduct quality and reliability analysis (e.g. MTBF).
- Support EMC testing and wider electrical validation activities.
- Work closely with production and production engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to technicians and junior team members.
- Identify and manage technical risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience required:
- Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
- Experience in an electronics design or manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing analogue and digital circuits using tools such as Altium Designer.
- Strong understanding of EMC design and compliance testing.
- Experience with digital communication protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, USB).
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C/C#) and simulation tools (e.g. SPICE) would be advantageous.
