The Redline Group is working with a leading technology manufacturer to assist in the search for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, to support a high-profile project at their facility in Cambridgeshire. This company is a global innovator in advanced engineering solutions, with technology applied across industrial manufacturing and consumer goods. Their products set industry standards, and this is an opportunity to contribute to a business that thrives on creativity and technical excellence. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite, and the client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Requirements for Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, based in Cambridgeshire:
- Confident using SolidWorks 2021 or later to produce accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Skilled in designing plastic injection moulded and sheet metal components
- Experience designing jigs and fixtures and ability to reverse engineer existing parts
This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination, therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
