Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? My client has an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join their growing engineering team, working on the design and development of complex electromechanical products and systems. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the full mechanical design process, producing innovative design solutions and supporting projects from concept through to manufacture.
In this role based in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will be responsible for the following:
- Designing mechanical components, enclosures and electromechanical assemblies using Creo.
- Producing accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support product development and continuous design improvements.
The successful applicant should have:
- Experience designing electromechanical products, electronic enclosures or complex engineered assemblies.
- Proficiency using Creo (or a similar 3D CAD package) to produce detailed engineering drawings.
- An HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
