Are you an experienced Senior / Lead Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in designing advanced power supply solutions? Our client provides rugged power system designs and products for harsh environments, predominantly within aerospace and defence. The successful applicant for this role based in Hertfordshire will be responsible for:
- Power Electronics Design & Development: Lead the design and development of digital and analogue power supply modules.
- System Requirements: Develop, capture, and review system-level power requirements.
- Magnetics Design: Design power supply magnetics, including planar magnetics.
- Power Conversion Expertise: Work across low and high power levels and frequency ranges, including isolated and non-isolated DC/DC and AC/DC conversion (topologies, components, control, and packaging).
To apply for this Hertfordshire-based role you must have a combination of the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Power Electronics Engineer
- Strong background in power supply design (AC/DC, DC/DC converters)
- Experience with magnetics and planar magnetics design
- Ability to define and review system-level power requirements
