An Electronics Engineer is sought to join an innovative product development team in Newbury, Berkshire, contributing to the design, development and validation of electronic products with a particular focus on audio applications. The Electronics Engineer will work across the full product development lifecycle, taking ownership of engineering tasks from concept through to prototype, testing and production.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop electronics and supporting embedded firmware
  • Create and update schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs and technical documentation
  • Design and validate audio circuits including amplifiers, filters, codecs, ADC/DACs and audio interfaces
  • Support prototype builds, board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting
  • Conduct audio performance testing including SNR, THD+N, frequency response and noise
  • Work with digital interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN/LIN and I2S
  • Support design reviews, DFM/DFT, compliance and production activities

The Electronics Engineer will have the following key skills:

  • 4+ years' hands-on electronics product development experience
  • Proven audio electronics design experience
  • Strong schematic and PCB layout skills using Altium or similar
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers and digital communication interfaces
  • Good understanding of AC/DC, DC/DC and battery-powered electronics
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
