A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain job based in Cambridge, to join a leading specialist in the design, manufacture and support of energy management display and information systems.
The Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain job will be responsible for ensuring the on-quality, on-cost manufacturing and delivery to their customers of around 1 million devices each year, controlling and optimising a component and manufacturing budget to achieve those results. This will include managing and developing the M&SC team to ensure annual sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery goals are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage all aspects of production planning and execution including: relationship with their CEM, including day to day communication
- Maintain relationships with key vendors including component and service buy pricing
- Handle key production projects, liaising with stakeholders across the business as required
- Chair and minute the weekly manufacturing planning calls
- Quote all lead-times, plus drive lead-times down across the product portfolio
- Stock control and component inventory management
- Oversee 3rd party warehousing facilities (UK/Europe/Far East)
- Lead NPI/scale-up to support multiple high-volume customers
Working arrangements
This role offers flexibility in regards to hybrid working, allowing candidates to work from home up to 3 days a week.
