Are you looking for a Mechanical Design Engineering job in Gloucester offering every other Friday off? A successful and well‑established global business is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their development team at their Gloucester site. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the enclosure design of ruggedised electronic equipment serving the Defence and Cyber‑security sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Produce 2D and 3D detail drawings through SolidWorks.
Create drawing packs and bill of materials supporting prototype builds.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design objectives are met.
Support the development and validation of ruggedised electronic equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in 2D and 3D detail drawing using SolidWorks.
Proficient in creating drawing packs and bill of materials.
Security clearance required – you must be able to obtain clearance, and have lived in the UK for at least 10 years.
Strong understanding of design for Defence and Cyber‑security requirements.
