A Production Technician is sought to join an innovative advanced manufacturing team in Southampton, Hampshire, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality PPLN devices for R&D and OEM customers. The Production Technician will work across production and cleanroom environments, carrying out a range of wafer and chip-level manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carry out production processes including photolithography, sputtering, furnace processing, dicing and polishing
  • Work with small and delicate components using microscopes and precision equipment
  • Follow production schedules, procedures and quality requirements
  • Complete process logs, quality reports and other production documentation
  • Identify and report process or quality issues to the Team Leader
  • Maintain high standards of cleanroom practice and Health & Safety
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and improve processes

The Production Technician will have the following key skills:

  • Experience in wafer-scale optical or semiconductor device processing within a cleanroom
  • Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Good dexterity and experience handling small, delicate components
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and identifying issues
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
