The Redline Group has an urgent requirement for a Contract Firmware Engineer to support an innovative engineering business based in Cambridge. The company develops advanced safety technologies and is seeking an experienced contractor to support the development of a next-generation product currently entering the beta phase of development.
This is a hands-on role focused on firmware development, hardware bring-up, peripheral integration and platform development, working closely with Senior Engineers on a dedicated new product development programme.
Key Skills Required - Contract Firmware Engineer
- Strong Embedded C Firmware Development experience
- STM32 Bare-Metal Debug & Bring Up
- Microcontroller Development (STM32, NXP, Renesas, Microchip or similar)
- Board Support Package (BSP) Development
- Serial Communications including SPI, I2C, UART and CAN
This role is expected to start early October and last 5 months initially with potential for extension. The successful contractor will be required on-site in Dry Drayton, Cambridge, ideally 5 days per week. This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
