Are you a Software Engineer with provable commercial experience working on software connecting to devices? If so, my client has an exciting opportunity for you! You will play a key role in designing, developing and implementing software for cutting-edge optical machinery used within advanced manufacturing environments.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and maintaining software applications using C# and WPF for specialist industrial machinery.
- Designing, implementing and testing software that interfaces directly with hardware and machine control systems.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Electronics, Mechanical and R&D Engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
- Supporting the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing software platforms.
- Contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle from design through to deployment.
The successful applicant will:
- Have provable commercial experience developing software using C# and WPF.
- Have experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware or industrial machinery.
- Hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or a related engineering discipline.
- Have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Any experience with MVVM, machine vision, OpenCV, image processing or industrial automation would be advantageous.
