JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Management Accountant who holds a CIMA or similar qualification and has previous experience in a management accounting role, with strong Microsoft Excel, interpersonal and analytical skills. Working as the Management Accountant you will be a highly motivated individual who is confident working within a management team environment with support from the Finance Director. This pivotal role as Management Accountant will support management to ensure all aspects of the business are considered to enable the correct strategic decisions are made.
ABOUT US
Redler Limited is a well-established Mechanical Handling Business with a 100-year history of supplying new equipment, aftermarket spares, and services. This position reports into the Finance Director (Harworth) with a dotted line into the Managing Director (Stonehouse). The support for this position is provided through our Harworth offices.
DUTIES
- Analyse financial and management information on a weekly/monthly basis to produce accurate, timely and robust management reports to assist with key decision making and ensure the business is on track
- Contribute to the Annual budgeting and planning process including any additional forecasts that arise during the year
- Produce the financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L and cashflow, including variance analysis and commentaries to complete the month end close
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to assist in achieving tight deadlines from Group
- Have a strong understanding of Project accounting and Percentage of Completion costing
- Balance sheet reconciliations including monthly intercompany and stock control
- Produce and post the monthly journals including prepayments and accruals
- Detailed cost analysis, identifying trends and cost saving measures
- Monitor and control Capital expenditure
- Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT (not essential)
- Production of relevant commercial analysis e.g. margins and pricing
- Lead the annual audit with support from the finance team
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold CIMA or a similar level of qualification
- Advanced MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel
- Thorough understanding of management information systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
- Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen
- Dynamic, committed and experienced
- Previous experience of MS Dynamics would be advantageous
