We are working with an elite international law firm that is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join its global In-House Risk team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal, ethical, and commercial matters, working closely with partners and business services teams across the firm's international network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of client-facing engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and commercial agreements
- Advise partners and business teams on contractual, commercial, and risk-related matters arising from client relationships
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and supplier agreements, including technology, SaaS, consultancy, outsourcing, and procurement contracts
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, regulatory, operational, and commercial risks across both client and vendor arrangements
- Support compliance with applicable regulations, professional obligations, and internal risk policies
- Assist with the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and best practices
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 4+ years' PQE gained in private practice and/or an in-house legal environment
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts on both the customer/client side and supplier/vendor side
- Experience advising on legal and commercial risk in a professional services, technology, or corporate environment
- Excellent communication, commercial judgement, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
