Senior Consultant | Risk and Compliance Recruitment

We are working with a leading regional law firm who are looking for an experienced onboarding analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Compliance Lawyer and Director of Risk, you would be playing a key role in ensuring all new and existing clients are onboarded in line with SRA regulations whilst acting as a point of escalation for the junior compliance analysts within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough AML, KYC and Conflicts checks for new matters and clients
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant SRA regulations
  • Acting as an escalation point for junior members of the team, answering queries on onboarding matters and dealing with high-risk compliance checks
  • Reporting to the Compliance lawyer, having involvement in wider compliance matters and projects as required
  • Influencing policy and procedure improvements for the firm on an ongoing basis
  • Acting as a key advisor for fee-earners and stakeholders on compliance and onboarding matters

Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years\’ experience in client onboarding in a law firm setting
  • Must have working knowledge and experience with SRA regulations
  • Thorough understanding of conflicts and AML rules under the SRA
  • Can-do attitude and a team player
  • Educated to degree level
