Job Description
I am partnering with a top-tier Global law firm who are looking for a Senior Conflicts Lawyer to come onboard their New Business Intake team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the conflicts processes and policies for the firm, in addition to acting as a key advisor to partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the firm are protected from risk in relation to conflicts, covering the firm's international and US offices
- Reviewing and improving the firm's conflicts processes and policies on an ongoing basis
- Acting as a point of escalation for the rest of the team for complex queries
- Taking the lead on internal investigations relating to conflicts
- Providing guidance to the Professional Claims team on potential conflicts of interest
- Advising on conflict-related clauses within bespoke client agreements
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of technology for managing conflicts and information barriers
- Designing and implementing training for the wider-firm in relation to conflicts
Person requirements:
- Must be a qualified lawyer with 5+ years' demonstratable experience managing conflicts of interest within a law firm
- Must be familiar with conflicts of interest rules under the SRA
- Experience of handling conflicts of interest under international jurisdictions is highly desirable
- Must be able to deliver effective solutions to an international business
