RedLaw have partnered with an international law firm seeking a Conflicts Lawyer on a 6-month fixed-term to join their Risk Legal Team. This role will focus on working with the firm’s compliance team to review and resolve complex conflicts, advise fee earners, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations relating to conflicts. You will also contribute to the development of new policies and training materials as part of a dedicated conflicts framework. You will report to the Head of Risk within the Risk Legal Team, while a new structure for the dedicated conflicts team is established.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse complex conflicts reports and provide strategic advice on resolution.
- Advise fee earners and support lateral hire recruitment from a conflict perspective.
- Identify potential strategic conflicts across client types or workstreams.
- Assist in developing and implementing conflict management policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including SRA Standards and Regulations.
- Develop training materials and provide guidance to staff and fee earners on conflict checks.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified lawyer with 2-4 years PQE in conflict resolution.
- Strong understanding of professional rules and regulatory guidance.
- Experience with US conflicts rules is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Intapp Conflicts or other conflict management systems is desirable.
- Previous experience in a large City or international law firm is preferred.

- Confident communicator, able to convey difficult messages effectively.
