This is a fantastic opportunity to join our forward-thinking training and teaching Practice. Our main site is a brand-new, purpose-built surgery on the Exeter side of Crediton. We also provide care from our dispensing branch in the village of Thorverton. The Crediton site is within walking distance of the local railway station.
Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care under the supervision of our GPs. You will work closely with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and offering support to patients and their families.

We are recognised as being a forward thinking and innovative practice that provides a high standard of patient care. Our multi-disciplinary practice-based team includes 3 Urgent Care Paramedics, a Clinical Pharmacist led prescribing team, and a remote GP team who support with administrative work. We are also an active member of the Mid Devon Healthcare PCN with additional support from PCN ARRS staff including a strong social prescribing team and an in-house Mental Health Practitioner. We are a training practice with a GP Registrar trainer, an F2 trainer and we also host medical students and nurse undergraduates.
We would very much like to add an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support our Same-Day Urgent team. You will be working alongside our 3 Paramedic Practitioners in a hub model of collaborative working, pre-triaging and work-flowing so patients are seen by the right clinician at the right time. Appointments will be a mix of phone calls and face to face, as well as care navigating to other services and supporting and empowering the Patient Services Team to do this. We hold daily 30-minute coffee and clinical catch ups at 11am and offer regular protected time for Clinical Meetings. Supervision is given to all Non-Medical Prescribers by a designated GP from the practice.
