Solicitor – Industrial Disease
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Start Date: ASAP
With empathy, attention to detail and legal curiosity, you’ll help clients navigate life-changing industrial disease claims. At Redkite Solicitors, we’re seeking a motivated and client-focused Solicitor to support ourIndustrial Disease team in delivering exceptional legal advice and representation.
- Manage a varied caseload of industrial disease matters with appropriate supervision to deliver timely, high-quality legal support.
- Advise clients on liability, evidence and quantum issues to help them understand their options and progress their claims with confidence.
- Draft correspondence, witness statements and legal documents to support effective case preparation and progression.
- Liaise with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties to keep matters moving and maintain excellent service throughout the claims process.
- Review medical records, employment history and evidential documents to build strong, well-prepared cases.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Personal Injury team to share knowledge, support case strategy and achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to business development and profile-raising activity to support the continued growth of the Industrial Disease offering.
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For:
- Client-focused and compassionate – you build trust quickly and approach sensitivematters with empathy and professionalism.
- Newly qualified solicitor – you have completed a training seat in personal injury, litigation or a closely related area, or can demonstrate relevant transferable experience.
- Organised and detail-oriented – you keep files accurate, manage competing priorities and stay on top of deadlines.
- Strong communicator – you explain legal issues clearly and confidently to clients, colleagues and external contacts.
- Commercially aware – you understand the importance of excellent client care, case progression and contributing to team success.
- Proactive and collaborative – you enjoy working as part of a team, asking questions and taking ownership of your development.
- Interest in claimant personal injury work – experience or enthusiasm for industrial disease, asbestos-related claims or occupational illness work would be advantageous
