A growing technology business within the smart manufacturing sector is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to develop business across the North of England.
The role will focus on supporting manufacturing customers across the Nottingham to York region, helping them improve production quality and efficiency through advanced metrology, machine vision and inspection technologies.
This position sits within a specialist organisation focused on smart manufacturing solutions including measurement systems, inspection technologies and machine vision used across sectors such as aerospace, automotive and precision engineering.
The role is field based and involves developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand production challenges, deliver technical demonstrations and develop projects through to order.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Building a pipeline of opportunities across the territory
- Running customer demonstrations
- Developing technical proposals
- Supporting customers with measurement and inspection solutions within manufacturing environments
The role would suit someone working in technical sales, applications engineering or sales engineering within metrology, machine vision, inspection systems or industrial automation. We are looking for passionate sales people who have experience working with engineering customers, an understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to develop technical sales opportunities within industrial environments.
Basic salary depending on experience, with commission based on order value, company car and benefits package.
