Regional Development Manager – South of England
An established global manufacturer of industrial connectivity solutions is looking to recruit a Regional Development Manager to take ownership of developing its business across the South of England.
This is a long-term territory development opportunity with a well-established manufacturer that already has successful sales coverage across the North and Midlands. The South has significant potential, with existing customers and opportunities already in place, and the company is looking for someone who can build the region over the coming years.
This isn't a role focused on relentless cold calling or being forced to open new accounts every day. You'll be given the autonomy to develop the territory properly, building relationships with industrial customers and specialist distributors while identifying and developing new opportunities.
The Role
- Develop sales across the South of England
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Work with industrial customers and specialist distributors
- Build relationships with engineers, buyers and senior decision-makers
- Develop larger strategic accounts and project opportunities
- Prepare commercial quotations and manage opportunities through to completion
- Work closely with internal application engineers on technical requirements
- Plan and manage your own territory and customer visits
- Attend relevant exhibitions and industry events
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with a background in industrial sales, ideally within electrical, automation, connectivity or a related technical market.
Experience could have been gained with either a manufacturer or specialist industrial/electrical distributor.
You should be commercially driven, comfortable developing relationships and genuinely interested in technical products. Just as importantly, the company wants someone looking for a long-term opportunity where they can take ownership of a region and develop with the business.

- £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary depending on experience
