We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the industrial automation sector for an Area Sales Manager to join their growing UK sales team. This is a field-based position responsible for managing and developing relationships with OEMs, machine builders, systems integrators and end users. You'll inherit an established customer base whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities across your territory. The product portfolio includes a broad range of industrial automation solutions used across a wide variety of manufacturing sectors, backed by strong technical support and a recognised global brand.
The Role
- Develop and grow existing customer relationships across your territory.
- Identify and win new business opportunities with OEMs, machine builders and systems integrators.
- Work closely with distributors and channel partners where appropriate.
- Deliver technical and commercial sales presentations.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle using CRM.
The Person
- Previous external sales experience within industrial automation, sensors, controls, connectivity or related technologies.
- Comfortable developing both existing accounts and new business.
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
