We are recruiting for a field based Account Manager to cover Merseyside and North Wales, inheriting an established and performing territory within industrial automation and control. This is not a blank canvas. The patch already carries around £2m annual spend across approximately 70 active engineering and manufacturing accounts.
The opportunity is to take ownership of that revenue, strengthen relationships, grow share of wallet and identify new business across the region. You will be selling automation and control solutions into OEMs, machine builders and industrial end users, positioning commercially sound and technically credible solutions.
It is consultative field sales, dealing directly with engineers and decision makers rather than simply quoting from a desk. You will be home based and expected to spend the majority of the week in front of customers. A dedicated internal sales function will support order processing and quotations, with access to product specialists when deeper technical input is required. The structure is there so you can focus on revenue growth.
We are looking to speak with experienced field sales professionals who have sold technical products into engineering or manufacturing environments. Control and automation knowledge would be advantageous, but a strong background in electrical or industrial technical sales is equally relevant. You should be comfortable managing your own territory, working to targets and developing both existing and new accounts.
Basic salary up to £46,000 depending on experience, plus commission, car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package. You must be based within Merseyside or North Wales to be considered.
