Area Sales Manager – South East
An established manufacturer within the industrial automation sector is looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to develop its business across the South East of England.
This is a field-based sales position with responsibility for managing and developing an existing customer base while identifying and winning new business across OEMs, machine builders, system integrators and industrial end users.
The company offers a broad portfolio of automation technology and is looking for someone who can build strong customer relationships, identify applications and work alongside technical and product teams to develop solutions.
The Role
- Manage and develop the South East sales territory
- Grow existing accounts while generating new business
- Develop relationships with OEMs, machine builders, integrators and end users
- Identify new applications and commercial opportunities
- Work closely with internal technical and product teams
- Manage the full sales process from initial opportunity through to order
- Maintain a strong understanding of the territory, customers and competitor activity
The Person
- Experience within industrial automation, controls, sensors, machine vision, robotics or a related technical market
- Technical sales, business development or account management experience
- Comfortable developing both existing and new accounts
- Able to communicate confidently with engineers, technical teams and commercial decision-makers
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a field-based territory
- Based within or well positioned to cover the South East of England
The position offers a competitive basic salary depending on experience, together with bonus/commission, company car and additional benefits.
