Our Investment Consulting team comprises of 50+ experts responsible for nurturing client relationships and designing innovative solutions that meet our clients’ investment objectives.
The Investment Consulting role at Redington is both client-facing and technical: as consultants, we have overall responsibility for our client relationships and the investment advice that we deliver, backed up by specialists across our sustainable investment, asset-liability management, manager research and transition teams.
Whilst this role will mainly be focussed on DB corporate pension clients, it would also have flexibility to work on a range of other clients, such as; DC pension schemes, Local Government Pension Schemes, Charities, Endowments & Foundations, Insurers and Wealth Managers. We are keen to offer this flexibility to our people so they can develop broad experience and knowledge across different institutional investors.
We trust our VPs with the role of "showrunning" large and sophisticated clients. This involves giving them autonomy to oversee key investment workstreams, work closely with our clients’ in-house investment teams and regularly present advice in Trustee meetings.
This, alongside structured training, opportunities to be materially contribute to business development, and ongoing guidance from our lead consultants who take a genuine interest in your development, means our VPs have the support they need to progress through the firm and become senior consultants in time.
For those who are interested in developing people development/management skills, we offer the chance to VPs to line manage some junior members of the team, if they wish.
This role is for you if you
Are an investment professional with at least four years of direct experience working with (mainly) UK pension clients
Enjoy a client-facing role and aiming to explain complex topics in a simple way
Are really interested in finance and capital markets
Are keen to take the initiative and get things done
Are keen to help others develop and grow in their investment knowledge
Are well versed in the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
It would be great if you also
Have, or are working towards, CFA or FIA qualifications
Have a good understanding of sustainable investment principles
Are keen to contribute to wider industry conversation, for example, by writing blogs or thought pieces
Are keen to understand and learn how AI tools, like Microsoft Co-pilot, can improve efficiencies
