We're looking for an experienced HR professional to join a growing consultancy business in a standalone HR & People role. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious HR Manager, HR Business Partner, People Manager or Senior HR Advisor who wants to broaden their remit and take ownership of a wide-ranging people agenda within a growing organisation. Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, you'll play a key role in supporting managers, developing people practices and helping to create an environment where employees can perform at their best. This role combines hands-on HR delivery with the opportunity to influence employee experience, engagement, development and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Business Partnering
    • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across the business.
    • Provide pragmatic guidance on employee relations, performance management, absence management and organisational matters.
    • Coach and develop managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
    • Support workforce planning and organisational development initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across the business.
    • Partner with hiring managers to attract and hire high-quality talent.
    • Enhance candidate experience and recruitment processes.
    • Oversee onboarding and probation processes.
  • Learning, Development & Engagement
    • Coordinate and support learning and development initiatives.
    • Help identify development opportunities across the business.
    • Support employee engagement, wellbeing and retention activities.
    • Contribute to building a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding.
    • Maintain HR policies, documentation and processes.
    • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
    • Manage HR systems and people reporting.
    • Support payroll and benefits administration.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve people processes and systems.
    • Support change initiatives and organisational growth.
    • Use HR data and employee feedback to drive improvements and informed decision-making.

About You

You are likely currently working as a: HR Manager, People Manager, HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, Senior People Advisor. You'll bring: 5–10 years' HR generalist experience, strong employee relations and manager-coaching capabilities, experience supporting recruitment, talent and employee development initiatives, a sound understanding of UK employment law, experience working in a growing, fast-paced business environment, CIPD Level 5 or equivalent practical experience. Most importantly, you'll be commercially minded, pragmatic, hands-on and passionate about helping people and businesses succeed.

Preferred Sector Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within management consulting, technology consulting or broader professional services environments. This could include experience gained in: Management Consulting, Technology Consulting, Professional Services Firms. We're looking for individuals who are comfortable operating in fast-paced, client-focused businesses and partnering closely with managers and senior leaders in a commercially driven environment. While sector experience is not essential, candidates with backgrounds in consulting or professional services are likely to be particularly successful in this role.
