Redhill Academy Trust Teachers’ Main Scale Full Time - Permanent Required September 2026 (or earlier if possible). The Oakwood Academy have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Expressive Arts to join their dedicated team. As Head of Expressive Arts you will be required to develop excellence in pedagogy and accelerated progress for all students in their subject area. The successful candidate will also be responsible for department staff, other relevant personnel and students within the subject area.
The post would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about their subject and has a real interest in developing young people. They will demonstrate an approachable manner, a keen eye for detail and the ability to motivate and manage the behaviour of students. The successful candidate will have the highest expectations of our students and will be keen to develop their practice. The successful candidate should have a track record of positive outcomes at Year 11.
The Oakwood Academy is an over-subscribed 11-16 School. We have talented staff, committed and enthusiastic students, strong local partnerships and a wide range of co-curricular and sporting opportunities for students. The Oakwood Academy is part of Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region.
The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.
