As Head of MFL, you will be required to develop excellence in pedagogy and accelerate progress for all students in your subject area. You will also be responsible for department staff, relevant personnel, and students within the subject area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about their subject and interested in developing young people. The successful candidate will demonstrate an approachable manner, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to motivate and manage student behaviour. They will have high expectations of students and be eager to develop their teaching practice. A proven track record of positive outcomes at Year 11 is desirable. The Oakwood Academy is an 11-16 school with talented staff, committed students, strong local partnerships, and a wide range of co-curricular and sporting opportunities.
