Financial Controller - Recruitment Agency

Working with a well-established, global recruitment business operating across multiple international locations with a high-volume contractor base.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Director to take full operational ownership of core finance functions, working capital and strategic cashflow management.

The Role

  • Full ownership of the Financial Controllership function; lead and oversee all financial operations, accounting functions and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee a high-volume contractor payroll processes and ensure seamless end-to-end administration across international jurisdictions.
  • Optimise working capital performance, maintain key banking relationships and manage complex invoice discounting and multi-currency factoring facilities.
  • Develop robust financial modelling, rolling cashflow forecasts and strategic financial reporting to support executive decision-making.
  • The Person
  • Proven track record as a Financial Controller or Finance Director within an SME environment
  • Essential hands-on experience with factoring / invoice discounting facilities (Recruitment background ideal; preferably within FMCG).
  • Strong expertise in cashflow forecasting, bank management and weekly payroll administration.
  • Pragmatic, reliable, and comfortable operating in a hands-on, multi-country business environment.
  • Immediately available or on short notice
