Why this role exists: Design (UX) is a core differentiator at Redgate. This role exists to help us discover customer needs, explore and test product ideas, and deliver simple yet innovative solutions to complex challenges for database professionals.

Why Redgate? Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organizations depend on - a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates.

Why join our Product team? Product Management, Design, and Engineering work as true partners and design is embedded, not bolted on. Customer research and insight are actively used to shape decisions, not just validate them.

About the role: As a Product Designer, you’ll be embedded in a cross‑functional, agile team, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads to solve complex problems for data professionals. You’ll play an active role across the full product lifecycle from discovery through to delivery and iteration, owning design decisions and championing a customer‑centred mindset.

Key areas of impact include:

  • Designing workflows, interfaces, and interactions from prototype to production
  • Leading and contributing to research activities using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Collaborating closely with engineers to ensure design intent is carried through delivery
  • Iterating on existing solutions through testing, measurement, and insight
  • Contributing to and evolving a shared design system

What makes you a great fit:

  • Experience designing for complex B2B software products
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, agile teams
  • Solid understanding of evaluative research methods
  • Proficiency with modern UI design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma)

What we offer: Flexible working with a hybrid model shaped by team needs. Friday afternoons dedicated to growth and personal development.
