We’re looking for an experienced, proactive

General Office Manager / Office Operations Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in the continued growth of our clients business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading people, improving processes, and making a real difference.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the business operates efficiently, teams work effectively together, and customers and suppliers receive the outstanding service they expect.

You’ll be at the heart of this Fresh Produce business, coordinating operations across multiple departments, supporting and developing people, and identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and profitability.

  • Leading, motivating and developing teams across the business.
  • Creating a positive, accountable and high-performing working environment.
  • Overseeing customer and supplier orders from receipt through to invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Monitoring operational performance and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • Reviewing and improving business processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors and support future growth.
  • Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Commercial, Technical and Accounts teams to ensure excellent communication and collaboration.
  • Monitoring KPIs, service levels, profitability and operational performance, providing clear reporting and recommendations to the Managing Director.
  • Helping shape the future of the business by identifying risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced Fresh Produce or Fresh Food business
  • Highly organised with excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of operational performance.
  • Confident making decisions and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service.
  • An effective communicator who can build strong relationships across all areas of the business.
