Our client is on a mission to reduce their environmental footprint and drive sustainable change across their operations and supply chain.
We’re looking for a Sustainability Manager who is eager to lead and champion sustainability initiatives, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to embed best practices and create measurable results.
Key Responsibilities- Sustainability Strategy & Reporting
- Develop and lead the company’s sustainability strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Track and report on sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon, water, waste) and ensure compliance with reporting requirements (e.g., ESOS, SECR).
- Prepare reports for stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and retail customers.
- Lead efforts toward B-Corp certification and oversee annual sustainability reporting.
- Manage the development of Science Based Targets.
- Supply Chain Sustainability
- Partner with growers to implement sustainable farming practices and ensure compliance with certifications (e.g., GlobalGAP, LEAF Marque, Red Tractor).
- Coordinate collection and analysis of carbon and environmental data from supply chain partners.
- Improve environmental performance across packaging, transport, and energy use.
- Waste Reduction & Resource Efficiency
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste and improve energy and water efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to minimize plastic use and increase recycling rates, reporting savings and progress.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Culture
- Engage with customers and retailers to communicate sustainability achievements.
- Educate internal teams to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Stay current with sustainability trends and regulations to anticipate industry changes.
