The Role

  • As Head Tractor Driver, you’ll lead across a wide range of field operations, with sole focus on the potato cropping cycle.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Spraying, planting, and harvesting of potato crops
  • Operating and maintaining modern machinery, including GPS-guided tractors and implements
  • Coordinating with management and seasonal teams to ensure efficient, timely fieldwork
  • Maintaining field records and supporting compliance with health, safety, and crop assurance standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with potatoes.
  • PA1 & PA2 spray certificates (essential)
  • Demonstrable experience with planting and harvesting potatoes
  • Strong machinery operation and maintenance skills
  • A proactive, detail-focused work ethic and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Full UK driving licence (telehandler ticket desirable)
