You’ll be at the heart of the technical function—connecting growers, packhouses, exporters, and retail customers to ensure products meet the highest standards. No two days look the same: one day you’ll be inspecting crop trials, the next you’ll be guiding suppliers or managing customer specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing supplier requirements and maintaining customer-aligned due diligence
- Keeping approved supplier and grower lists up to date
- Owning product specifications across your category
- Driving ethical, sustainability and food safety compliance across the supply base
- Conducting audits, site visits and implementing corrective action plans
- Monitoring supplier performance and leading seasonal improvement reviews
- Providing rapid feedback and solutions on live quality issues
- Coordinating trial work, sampling and benchmarking activity
- Managing customer systems including certifications, packaging, grower lists and specifications
- Supporting HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and wider food safety risk assessments
- Representing the business professionally at meetings and industry forums
