Weβre seeking an experienced Agricultural Chemical Trader to join a dynamic enterprise operating across the agriculture retail supply chains. Our client is a leading independent, arable merchant in the Eastern Regions of the the UK. Youβll manage and grow their chemical product trading portfolio β specialising in crop protection and some fertiliser solutions β and deliver expert, compliant advice to farmers and agribusiness clients throughout the UK majoring on the Eastern Counties. Key Responsibilities * Identify, source, and trade crop protection products (and fertilisers), matching solutions to client needs. * Provide knowledgeable, actionable advice on chemical use and nutrient management aligned with regulatory and best-practice guidelines. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers. * Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and product innovations to inform trading strategies. * Ensure strict adherence to legislative standards and internal compliance procedures. Qualifications & Experience * Essential: Valid BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection (sale & supply) and FACTS Certification, enabling you to advise on crop protection and fertiliser use. * Proven track record working in agricultural input supply, chemical trading, or technical agronomy roles. * Strong understanding of agriculture markets, crop science, and regulatory frameworks. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. * Self-motivated with commercial acumen and the ability to travel as required.
