Role Overview
Our client are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Graphic Designer to lead the design and creation of both static and dynamic visual content that embodies their identity and enhances their workplace designs. This is a key role for a talented designer who is ready to take ownership of complex design projects and collaborate with various teams across the business. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will blend graphic design, motion design, and UX design expertise to deliver compelling, cohesive, and user-centric experiences across digital, interactive, and print platforms. You will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our client-facing materials, from concept to final execution. In addition, you will support the Head of Graphic Design during periods of absence by helping to manage ongoing projects and providing day-to-day guidance to the wider team, ensuring continuity of creative output and effective team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Graphic Design: Lead the design and production of high-quality graphics focusing on layout, typography, infographics, and other assets for RFP responses, credentials presentations, and project-related documents. These may be static or animated, depending on presentation style preferences and client requirements.
- Motion Design: Drive the transformation of static content into dynamic visuals through animation, video, and interactive features using tools like the Adobe suite and other web/animation software.
- UX Design: Oversee the usability and functionality of digital products, ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and accessible user experience. Collaborate with development teams to implement design solutions that prioritise user interaction and accessibility.
- Print-Based Graphic Design: Design and prepare artwork for printed materials, including books, boards, brochures, posters, and flyers. Additionally, you will manage artwork for large-scale projects like wayfinding, manifestations, hoardings, and other large graphics. You will work closely with external print vendors to ensure high-quality production within budget constraints.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in graphic design, motion design, or UX design, with a proven track record in delivering high-quality projects in a professional environment.
- A relevant degree or higher education qualification is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, motion design tools, web design platforms, and UX design tools.
- Creative leadership: Ability to drive innovative, visually engaging design solutions and mentor junior team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail: A keen eye for design quality, accuracy, and consistency in all outputs.
- Project management: Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of work, especially under pressure.
- Strong collaborative skills: Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and confidently leading design projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively present designs and interact with clients and team members.
