With a reputation for delivering exceptional quality and innovative design , they are seeking a Principal / Senior Design Manager to oversee and drive the design process across multiple prestigious developments.
Role Overview
As the Principal / Senior Design Manager , you will be responsible for leading the design management process from pre-construction through to project completion . You will collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design excellence, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Manage design teams , including architects, consultants, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless coordination.
- Oversee pre-construction design development , ensuring feasibility, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure technical excellence , buildability, and risk mitigation throughout the design phase.
- Collaborate with commercial and construction teams to integrate design solutions into project delivery.
- Implement design management procedures , ensuring timely production and distribution of design information.
- Monitor design progress , identifying risks and ensuring solutions align with project objectives.

Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in design management within main contracting , preferably in hospitality and high-end residential sectors .
- Strong leadership skills , with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities .
- Proficiency in design software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes .
