A well established D&B Office fit out firm are looking for a Freelance Senior Technical Designer with AutoCAD and Revit experience to join their team. They are a well established firm that has been operating in the sector for a number of years. With an amazing office based in Manchester with excellent travel routes, you will have the opportunity to work on multi million pound projects based across the country. They are a company that has a strong ethic to promote from within and help to build and progression you through to a more senior position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating technical drawing packages for projects using AutoCAD & Revit.
- Carry out building surveys.
- Attending site for site meetings over the course of project delivery.
- Communicate with clients & sub-contractors.
- Print drawing packs for use on site & client meetings.
- Ensure the drawing issue sheet is up to date with the correct revisions.
- Issuing of drawings to sub-contractors and clients.
- Work closely with the internal Design, Projects & Finance Teams.
- Liaising with Building Control when required.
- Ensure inhouse printing equipment for CAD drawings is readily available and fully functional at all times.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-4 years' experience using Revit.
- Excellent CAD skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Experience within the area of Traditional tender & build projects.
- Demonstrative experience with construction drawings, detailed drawings and schedules.
- Liaison with contractors i.e., Mechanical, Electrical & Joinery.
- A good knowledge of current Building Regulations.
- Process orientated & self-disciplined individual.
- Have a proven track record of understanding design proposals and creating technical drawing packages to support these designs.
- To effectively carry out building surveys and to prepare technical documentation with guidance from Building Control.
- To have confidence in attending site meetings on their own and communicate effectively with clients and sub-contractors.
- Experience of measured building surveying.
