A well-established Design & Build contractor delivering high-quality commercial interiors across London and the wider South East. Known for design-led delivery, strong client relationships, and a consistent pipeline of workplace, refurbishment, and commercial projects. The business is expanding its specialist flooring division and offers a clear development path under an experienced Head of Flooring. As Junior Flooring Estimator, you’ll support the pricing, planning, and coordination of flooring packages across CAT A/B fit-out projects throughout London and surrounding areas. Working directly under the Head of Flooring, you’ll assist with estimating, RAMs, Operations & Maintenance documentation, and pre-construction activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build technical, commercial, and product knowledge within a fast-paced D&B environment. Key Responsibilities * Assist with take-offs, cost plans, and estimates for flooring packages across commercial fit-out projects. * Review drawings, specifications, and design information to support accurate pricing. * Support subcontractor enquiries, comparisons, and procurement under the Head of Flooring. * Help prepare and update RAMs (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) for flooring works. * Contribute to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation and compliance. * Attend site surveys and pre-construction meetings across London and the Southeast. * Maintain organised records of pricing, supplier quotes, and project documentation. * Build product knowledge across carpet, vinyl, timber, LVT, raised access flooring, and specialist finishes. * Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and supply chain relationships. Skills & Experience Required * Some experience in flooring, estimating, or commercial interiors (junior role, placement, or trade background welcomed). * Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. * Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. * Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior team members. * Basic understanding of RAMs or health & safety documentation (training provided). * Competent with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam or similar tools beneficial. * Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy pre-construction environment. * A relevant construction or technical qualification is advantageous but not essential.
