An established and highly regarded high-end residential main contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join its growing delivery team.
The company specialises in delivering high-end and super-prime residential refurbishments, bespoke new builds, extensions and complex structural alterations across London and the surrounding areas.

The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of high-end residential projects, working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, client, architects, designers and specialist subcontractors.
A key part of the position will be programme management.
You will be expected to understand the overall project programme, manage short-term lookaheads and ensure works are progressing to agreed milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site.
- Lead and manage subcontractors, trades and site-based teams.
- Manage the construction programme and ensure works remain on schedule.
- Develop and manage short-term programmes, lookahead programmes and weekly progress plans.
- Monitor progress against the master programme and identify potential delays.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to mitigate programme risks and implement recovery strategies.
- Coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades to ensure efficient sequencing of works.
- Manage site logistics, labour, materials and deliveries.
- Ensure works are completed to the required quality and specification.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants and client representatives.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Chair and attend site meetings where required.
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
- Manage snagging, inspections and quality control through to completion.
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained across the project.
- Manage and coordinate multiple trades working within occupied or sensitive environments where applicable.
- Support the Project Manager with project reporting and commercial awareness.
- Ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest possible standard.
- Programme Management & Technology
Strong programme management skills are essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with construction programmes, understanding critical path activities, coordinating trades and identifying potential delays before they impact the project.
Experience using Procore would be highly advantageous
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Site Manager with a main contractor.
- Strong background in high-end, luxury or super-prime residential construction.
- Experience delivering major refurbishments, bespoke new builds, extensions and/or structural alterations.
- Strong programme management and sequencing skills.
- Ability to manage short-term programmes and lookaheads.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and build sequencing.
- Excellent subcontractor management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong health & safety awareness.
- Procore experience highly desirable.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
- Relevant construction qualification such as NVQ Level 6 / HNC / HND would be advantageous.
