Redfern Group Ltd are a family-run business providing commercial and domestic repairs within the insurance market. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Insurance Surveyor to join our team and support our clients across the West Midlands.
Responsibilities:
- Attend domestic and commercial properties to assess damage and claim validity in line with policy cover.
- Gather all relevant site information to support the claim outcome.
- Evaluate liability and make recommendations (validate / repudiate).
- Negotiate cash settlements where required with policyholders and clients.
- Compile clear schedules of works to return properties to a pre-loss condition.
- Identify potential issues early and communicate them clearly from the outset.
- Write accurate, professional reports and amend schedules following variations.
- Work closely with senior management, clients, and the admin team to ensure smooth claim progression.
Requirements:
- 5+ years surveying experience (required) within the Insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction technology and the UK building sector.
- Proficient with costing, scoping, scheduling and repair methodology.
- Solid understanding of H&S & Construction Phase Plans, capable of administrating H&S on site.
- Confident verbal communicator, organised in respect of time management and administration.
- Proven experience with Xactimate and CoreLogic estimating platforms is a strong advantage.
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Surveying qualification preferred but not essential if experience is extensive.
