Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis until 14/1/2027. Base salary range: $77,205 – $82,011 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Student Life sits within the University’s Education Portfolio and plays a central role in delivering a high‑quality, inclusive student experience. The Student Offices team provides front‑line student advisory and administrative services, supporting students from enrolment through to progression and graduation. Working closely with academic areas, central administration and student‑facing partners, the team ensures students receive timely, accurate and compassionate support across the student lifecycle.

About the opportunity

Provide a consistently high level of customer service to students, staff and prospective students across face‑to‑face, phone and digital channels, resolving enquiries efficiently and empathetically. Use sound judgement and initiative to respond to detailed enquiries, escalating or referring complex matters appropriately while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain accurate student records and documentation, apply university policies and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the student experience.

About you

  • Completion of Year 12 or demonstrated equivalent competency, with relevant administrative experience in a customer‑focused environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high‑quality customer service, ideally within a higher education, education or service‑based setting.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and sensitively to a diverse audience.
  • Strong organisational skills with proven attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency across common digital tools including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and online systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
