Ensure the business is prepared for external financial scrutiny, due diligence, and audit processes. Maintain robust financial compliance, including statutory reporting, tax, audit, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management. Maximise tax efficiency across the group.
  • M&A, Legal & Corporate: Lead the financial aspects of any M&A, fundraising, or exit processes, including valuation support and due diligence. Act as Company Secretary and Head of Legal, overseeing corporate governance, contracts, and legal compliance.
  • People, Systems & Infrastructure: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, including external management accountants. Lead and manage the company's HR function and fractional procurement support. Scale and improve finance systems, controls, and processes to support growth and professionalisation.

  • Commercial & Strategic Capability: Highly commercial, with deep financial and analytical expertise. Strong track record of improving EBITDA, gross margin, cashflow, and return on investment. Clear understanding of unit economics, pricing strategy, and margin management in operational businesses. Comfortable operating at Board level and influencing senior stakeholders. Strategic thinker who can translate vision into practical, executable plans.
  • Technical & Leadership Skills: Formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Strong knowledge of modern, cloud-based finance and accounting systems. Experience scaling finance infrastructure, reporting, and internal controls. Confident people leader with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
