Overview
Job Title: Salesforce Technical Consultant
Capgemini works with some of the world’s largest brands on complex IT projects. The Salesforce Delivery Unit focuses on helping clients achieve business value through Salesforce.com, the world’s top cloud-based CRM solution.
As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you’ll work across diverse industry sectors (e.g., Consumer Products, Utilities, Automotive, Telecommunications). You’ll collaborate with clients to transform their business using the Salesforce platform and one of the largest ecosystems of Salesforce apps. You may start by understanding business requirements and, next, build a proof of concept with a development team and progress to delivering a final solution used by thousands of end users.
Hybrid working: the work location will vary by role and business needs and will blend Company offices, client sites, and your home. You will not be able to work 100% from home.
Your role
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce Functional Consultants to design and build tailored client solutions.
- Serve as a Salesforce SME within the DCX practice, contributing to capability building—leveraging AI-driven tools like Agentforce to support solution design, accelerate delivery, and enhance team productivity.
- Develop on the Salesforce platform using declarative and programmatic tools, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and JavaScript.
- Support agile delivery teams and contribute to DevOps best practices (e.g., Copado, Flosum, Gearset, AzureDevOps).
- Work directly with clients, developing consulting skills in communication, design thinking, and stakeholder engagement.
You can bring your whole self to work. Capgemini is committed to building an inclusive future and providing a representative, welcoming environment for everyone.
Your skills and experience
Working closely with clients, you’ll analyze needs and design and develop the right solution using Salesforce configuration and coding. You’ll pursue your passion for Salesforce and CRM while exploring ideas. The following qualifications will help you succeed:
- Salesforce technical experience covering one or more of the main clouds (Sales, Service, or Commerce). Experience with LWC, Vlocity, or Field Service Lightning is desirable.
- Experience delivering large, complex end-user or client projects involving hundreds of Salesforce users.
- Certifications in Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II, JavaScript Developer I, and at least one Consultant-level credential; commitment to continuous learning with additional certifications or Trailhead Superbadges in progress.
- Experience with agile project delivery and working as part of a team of Salesforce developers.
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas, issues, concepts, and solutions to clients and executive stakeholders. Experience working with 3rd party delivery partners and AppExchange vendors (e.g., Mulesoft, Copado) is a plus.
Your security clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo BPSS checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, though if you have resided outside the UK in the last 3 years, additional checks may be required. Other BPSS criteria apply, and throughout the recruitment process you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility (e.g., country of residence and nationality).
What does ‘Get The Future You Want’ mean for you?
You will be empowered to explore, innovate, and progress. Capgemini’s learning-for-life mindset provides extensive training and development opportunities, including thinktanks, hackathons, and access to many courses and certifications from external providers.
You’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to the team, drawing inspiration from teammates and supporting each other as you unlock value in your work. You’ll join a professional community of experts who have your back every step of the way.
Why you should consider Capgemini
Growing clients’ businesses while building a more sustainable, inclusive future is a demanding goal.
